I grew up between writing about the new Dune movie one week and student politics the next. Nobody was writing for a girl like that. The magazines built for teenage girls wanted to sell me a new hair tool. Nobody serious was actually writing to me. They were writing about me.

My friends and I debated foreign policy and family inheritance in the same conversation. We had opinions on labor conditions in the entertainment industry, on God and on our own ambition, and none of it fit anywhere. So I built the place it could live to be read.

Lore is run by a girl who is usually just written about. Power & Politics next to Worn. Money & Ambition next to Spill. A media house that assumes a seventeen-year-old can hold a real argument, because we always could. We were just never handed the pen.

We have always known things. Read something. Then write something back.
