The concept of "I can fix him"?
The idea of “I can fix him”. It’s definitely an overused phrase. You see it all the time on the comments of thirst traps, or reviews of books about a man that is wrong in ever way. But in real life, women actually believe it. Disturbing as it may seem; it’s deeper than you think. Women all around the world wish to be respected, loved and cherished. Not treated like animals. But why do we stoop down to the level of a man who is immature and toxic? Why do we stay with him even when we know that all he does is diminish us, make us feel like a leech and convince everyone else that we were the problem? And most of all, why do we think: “I can fix him”. The deep and sad truth is we can’t ladies. We most definitely can’t. Letting go of the idea and attempts we take to “fix him” is what will give us the peace we need. A man who drains you of the life that was inside you, certainly is NOT Mr. Right. No matter how attractive or perfect he may seem. He may know just what to say to keep you on hooked, and he most certainly knows just how desperate you are to be with him. And I know, that you know this too. What every woman needs to know is that; you are perfect. You are wonderful. You are strong. And your life shouldn’t be wasted trying to fix someone, or fix yourself. Get out there, and find that love that doesn’t make you feel like you’re handling your neighbor’s annoying child. People say true love is dead, but I say that as long as you love yourself, it’s not.
